Hotel
-
Where are the hotels?
The Hotel Edison and W Hotel are adjacent to each other on West 47th St, between 7th Ave and 8th Ave, in the heart of Times Square. They are conveniently located within walking distance to all our theatres and restaurants.
-
Can we stay at another hotel?
Yes. Hotels are now add-ons so if you would like to stay at another hotel, you’ll only need to pay the $3000 package price per person.
-
Can we extend our stay at the hotels?
Yes! We will make the arrangements for you. Just let us know the dates before final payment is due on April 15, 2023. Many of our patrons do come a day early, to settle in. Extra night cost for single occupancy is $290 at The Hotel Edison for a Signature Room 1 King or $375 for a 2 Queen, and $570 at the W Hotel for a Fantastic Suite. For double occupancy, extra night costs per person is $145 at The Hotel Edison for a Signature Room 1 King or $187.50 for a 2 Queen, and $285 at the W Hotel for a Fantastic Suite.
-
What time is check-in and check-out?
Regular check-in is at 3PM for Hotel Edison and at 4PM for W Hotel. Check-out is at 12PM for both hotels. We can request for early check-in or late check-out for you for both hotels but it is not guaranteed.
-

Wireless internet access is included in your package pricing at Hotel Edison. W Hotel charges $14.95/day for wireless internet in guest rooms, though it is free in the lobby and public areas. The cost of the WiFi will be added to your incidental charges so you will pay for it at check-out.
-
Will I be able to earn Marriot Bonvoy points if I choose to stay at the W Hotel?
Yes
Show
-
Where would the seats be?
We always request center orchestra seats, but it is guaranteed.
-
Can we swap one of the scheduled shows for a different one?
No. If you would like to see another show that is not in our itinerary, consider extending your stay and we will arrange for your tickets, if you like.
-
Will we be able to sit with the people we are traveling with?
Yes, we will try our best. Please make sure we know who is in your group.
-
Can you get us show tickets for our extra days?
Absolutely! Please let us know in advance and we’ll reply with the price.
-
Can we invite guests to a show?
Yes, we will do our best to accommodate that! Please let us know in advance and we’ll reply with the price.
-
Is there a dress code?
Our number one suggestion is to be comfortable! You will see a wide variety, in both theatres and restaurants (none of our restaurants require a jacket). Smart casual to smart dress works! It is important to be ready to walk a few blocks in unpredictable weather, so keep that in mind for both foot and protective wear.
Meals
-
I have a friend in NYC, can they come to dinner?
Absolutely! Please let us know in advance and we’ll reply with the price.
-
Are drinks included with meals?
We offer beer, wine, soft drinks and coffee at all dinners.
Accessibility
-
Are stairs required at the theatres and restaurants?
All theatres have accessible seats but most restaurants will require stairs to get to our group’s event space. If you cannot walk up stairs, you may be seated in a different area inside the restaurant. Please let us know if you require assessable seats when we send out a survey in January.
-
Can you accommodate accessible seating for the shows?
We will send out a survey in January where you can tell us your seating requirements. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
-
Do the theatres offer Assisted Listening Devices, Open/Closed Caption, or Audio Description?
Some theatres do offer Assisted Listening Devices, Open/Closed Caption, and Audio Description upon request. We will send out a survey in January where you can tell us if you need these services, and we will do our best to reserve them for you.
-
What if I need other accommodation not listed here?
Please email nyc@broadwaysanjose.com and we will look into it for you.
Transportation
-
Is airfare included in the price of the trip?
No.
-
Which is the best airport to use?
New York City is served by three airports: JFK, LGA and EWR. Pick what flight works best for you. There are direct flights from SJC to JFK on JetBlue. SFO offers more options. Pay attention to arrival time. It can take more than 1 hour to get to your hotel from either of those 3 airports during rush hour. Our first event is the Welcome Cocktails on Thursday evening at 5 PM so please arrive at least a few hours prior!
-
How do we get from the airport to the hotel?
There are a variety of options from public transportation to a NY taxi cab. Cost for a cab or Uber/Lyft is in the $65 range (not including tip or tolls). Fares are regulated, and you will get a price before you accept. Plan for 45 minutes to 1 hour during non-rush hour and at least 1.5 hours during rush hour.
When departing, the hotels will get you a cab or you can call an Uber/Lyft. Prices are similar.
-
How do we get around New York City?
All of our activities are located in/around Times Square within a couple of blocks of each other, so we just walk! If walking is difficult for you, you can take a taxi on your own but please allow double the amount of time needed for walking because traffic can be very bad in Times Square.
Pro Tips!
To Make Your Stay Better!
Arrive a day early (Wednesday) to get settled in before our fun filled adventure begins. Let us know and we will arrange your extra nights and even help get you another show ticket.
Bring comfortable walking shoes. Even though we are staying in the heart of the action, our days are long and filled with activities. You will want to feel good going to your evening shows after a day of exploring.
The weather is always unpredictable in NYC. Plan on humidity, rain, and usually some very hot afternoons!
If you stop to take in the wonders of Times Square, keep in mind that the people dressed as TV and movie characters charge money for photographs. It’s fun to take picture with them, just be prepared to give them a few bucks.
